The CATRD Board of Directors strives to provide you with a wealth of knowledge and information based on our education, experience and our commitment to keep up on current trends and information in our profession.  This enables us to provide information and presentations on topics and areas that are proven to work.

Our Board is made up of a group of antiques and treasures.  The breakdown includes:

  • Four with over 30 years of experience in the field.
  • Four are Adjunct Instructors at Community Colleges.
  • Two are national speakers.
  • Four have Bachelors Degrees in Therapeutic Recreation.
  • Three have Masters Degrees in Therapeutic Recreation.
  • Four are Nationally Certified as CTRS’s by the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
  • Two are Nationally Certified as ACC’s by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.

We keep current through our associations with other groups and agencies on a State and National level.

    • Liaisons to National organizations ~ NAAP, ATRA, NCTRC, NCCAP.
    • Liaisons to State organizations ~ Alzheimer’s, Assisted Living, Qualidigm, Department of Public Health, Connecticut Coalition of Culture Change, Parkinson’s, CAHCF and CANPHA.
